THE GREAT DRAW, ROBINSONS\u00a0– A giant painting for Wimbledon 2005<\/strong><\/p>\n In 2005 Robinsons commissioned the artist Christian Furr to produce\u00a0a commemorative work of Art featuring Tim Henman playing Fred Perry for Wimbledon<\/p>\n A match between two British legends\u00a0against a background of spectators going from the past to present..\u00a0with a few famous faces thrown in<\/p>\n One thousand of the queuing public outside Centre Court, Wimbledon completed\u00a0the giant 16ft x 9ft canvas.<\/p>\n The artist created an original\u00a0\u00a0oil painting measuring \u00a0(5ft x 3ft) which he then deconstructed and redesigned in a blank painting by numbers template\u00a0with a palette of 32 unique colours \u00a0which\u00a0was enlarged onto a canvas.<\/p>\n This was then completed by the waiting crowd.<\/p>\n ‘The Great Draw’ won The Best Award for\u00a0\u2018Best & Most Effective Long Term Communication Campaign’\u00a0at the MCCA Awards (Marketing Communications Consultants Association) 2006\u00a0and received wide\u00a0media coverage including the BBC. ‘I have fond memories of this project. It was great fun and we\u00a0were blessed with beautiful British summer weather. It was a great interactive project.
